Willie Brown Middle School has a diverse student and staff population that
cultivates a special and unique school community. We are a school with a
focus on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) and hands-on,
project-based learning. We also foster student creativity through our
Visual Arts and Performing Arts program.

Our teachers, counselors, and staff truly value students’ involvement and
their social-emotional growth. Our small class sizes allow students to receive
the individualized support needed to excel academically and socially during their middle school years.


Students who attend for three years and
graduate from WBMS are also granted
priority admission at SFUSD high schools.*

Thrive in Beacon Afterschool

Our extended learning program, facilitated by Good Samaritan Family Resource
Center Inc., offers students the opportunity to engage in academic
support and extracurricular activities after the school day has ended.
Students can also participate in athletics, including Girls’ and Boys’ Basketball,
Girls’ and Boys’ Soccer, Co-ed Track, Co-ed Baseball, Volleyball, Wrestling, and more.
After a $25 application fee, the program is free for the entire school year.
